The Traverse County Assessor’s Office is responsible for estimating the market value and determining the classification of all property for real estate tax purposes, as prescribed by Minnesota Statutes and the directives of the Commissioners of Revenue.
The office determines which properties qualify for homestead, maintains assessment records, notifies taxpayers annually of their valuation and classification, and attends local and State Board of Equalization meetings.
