The Social Services Department administers an array of services as established by local, state, and federal law that promote the protection, support, and rehabilitation of families and individuals.
We provide Child Support Establishment and Enforcement services, as well as Child and Adult Protection.
We facilitate licensing of Family and Adult Foster Homes and Family Child Care Homes as well as Long Term Care Consultation.
The department is responsible for administration of many programs in the areas of Public Assistance, such as, Cash
Assistance, Medical Assistance, Minnesota Care, Food Support, and Child Care Assistance.
We also offer services for persons with Developmental Disabilities and Related Conditions, Mental Illness, other Disabilities, and Chemical Dependency.
The department is staffed with a Director, Child Support Officer, two Social Workers, a Financial Assistance Supervisor, a Coordinator on Aging, two Case Aides, three Financial Workers and an Office Support Specialist, Sr.
